'Tiger King' Joe Exotic announces engagement in prison (DOJ)
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — TheTiger King has found love again.
Joe Exotic, 61, announced on X Monday night that he's engaged to 33-year-old Jorge Marquez from Mexico.
He said they're on a quest to get married in prison and either get Marquez asylum or leave America when they both get out.
Exotic said in the post, "Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago."
Exotic is serving 21 years for a murder-for-hire plot,violating the Endangered Species Act, and violating the Lacey Act: False labeling of wildlife.
He was the focus of a Netflix documentary released in 2020 that followed the story of his zoo in Oklahoma and the murder-for-hire plot.
