WASHINGTON (TND) — Budweiser’s iconic Clydesdales made a comeback for the Super Bowl Sunday along with a canine co-star that belongs to a famous household.
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's dog, Roy Hawn Russell, made his television debut and his family didn't shy away from letting everyone know.
“Don’t get me wrong I love watching football but tonight was all about watching our dog Roy Hawn Russell star in his first superbowl commercial,” Hawn wrote on her Instagram page.
A video showed the family watching the ad and celebrating their good boy.
Hawn's daughter, Kate Hudson, also shared in the excitement and posted some behind-the-scenes footage of the family watching Roy guide beer horses safely through the snow.
"There’s a lot of thespians in this [family]," Hudson wrote on Instagram, "but tonight there was only one star."
The family was seen giving Roy plenty of pats and pets to congratulate him on his closeup.
Russell can be heard telling Roy he was just "in front of more people than any actor in this family has ever been in front of at one time."
