ST. PAUL, Minn. (WBFF) - Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has declared June 7, 2016 to be "Prince Day" in the state.
Prince was born on June 7, 1958 in Minneapolis and would have been 58-years-old on Tuesday. He passed away on April 21, 2016.
The Governor's office says the proclamation "is meant to celebrate Prince's life and many contributions - not only in arts and culture, but also in his many acts of service to his fellow Minnesotans."
