When news broke of Sean “Diddy” Comb’s acquittals last week, the jury involved faced public scrutiny for their decision. Now, one of the jurors from the rapper’s federal case is defending the verdict after many questioned whether Diddy’s celebrity status played a role in his acquittal on the most series charges.

The latest outcome in the high-profile case: Diddy was found not guilty of his more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy, and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. He was found guilty on two lesser charges of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The individual, who asked to remain anonymous for concerns about potential online abuse and harassment, told ABC News that they found accusations to be "highly insulting and belittling to the jury and the deliberation process."

After the juror heard a legal pundit on Thursday, July 3, implying the rapper’s celebrity may have swayed the final decision, the juror set the record straight in a statement to ABC News.

"We spent over two days deliberating. Our decision was based solely on the evidence presented and how the law is stated," said the juror.

"We would have treated any defendant in the same manner regardless of who they are. I have nothing else to say," the juror concluded.

Comb’s trial was held for six weeks, with his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura taking the stand to testify against the rapper for allegedly forcing her to have sex with male escorts and describing "freak offs" in detail.

A judge denied granting bail to Combs, which would have allowed him to be free while awaiting sentencing in his sex crimes case. The 55-year-old faces up to 20 years in prison -- 10 years for each of the two guilty counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
