Téa Leoni and Tim Daly met on set as co-stars on CBS’ “Madam Secretary” in 2014.

In “Madam Secretary” Téa Leoni and Tim Daly played one of America’s most private couples, but off-screen they kept their real-life romance extremely private.

In July 2014, the two actors made the rumor mill swirl then Leoni was spotted in the audience for a play Daly was starring in. The following month, she finalized her divorce from ex-husband David Duchovny after separating three years prior. They were married for 17 years and have two children together, Kyd and Madeline.

A few months later, in December it was confirmed that Leoni and Daly were in fact dating, according to PEOPLE.

The acting duo did a great job of keeping their romance private since “Madam” ended in 2019. But after over a decade of being together they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in July 2025.

Daly was married to actress Amy Van Nostrand for 26 years until their split in 2010. He has been much more vocal about his new romance, compared to Leoni, starting with a happy birthday post on Instagram.

“My accomplice was born 37 years ago todaywell maybe a little longer. Whatever the year I sure am glad she was born,” the caption reads.

It wasn’t until April 2015 that they made their relationship red carpet official at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.

Going back through Leoni’s Instagram, she has been referring to her Daly as her husband since 2017 as shown by the tweet below.

“Happy birthday to the best husband a gal could ever have on TV, @TimmyDaly.” Of course, referring to their roles on their show, not realizing they will actually be husband and wife in real life.

Funny enough, the two actually attended the same boarding school when they were kids, just a few years a part!

“She’s a person, like me and like a lot of people who have gone to that school, including my own daughter, who can be perfectly happy sleeping in a wet sleeping bag on a stone floor, or staying in a fancy hotel. She’s not a whiner,” Daly tells Collider about their camp.

Seems like they were destined for each other! Congrats Téa and Tim!
