PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. (TND) — A coyote figured out how to get attention — and medical attention, too.
She had to be treated after finding her way into a hospitaland breaking through a glass window, head first.
At least she was in the right place to be treated — sort of.
Somehow, the soon-to-be patient wandered into Jefferson Healthcare Medical Center near Seattle on Tuesday.
She got scared.
Then, Center Valley Animal Rescue said, "Realizing her mistake, she ran down the hallway and crashed through a glass window, ending up in an enclosed courtyard.
It took the rescue's director and Jefferson County Animal Control to catch the coyote.
They brought her back to Center Valley's medical facility for a thorough exam.
She needed a few switches but otherwise was in good health.
Then, she spent a day recovering in their wildlife enclosure.
And finally, Wednesday, she was released back into the wild — and not a moment too soon, the way she ran out of their carrier!
Hopefully she learned the lesson that the hospital is for humans only.
