Wedding officiant gets police escort to ceremony following 3-car crash in Virginia

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WJLA) — A wedding officiant had a close call after a three-car crash nearly caused him to miss a wedding.

At 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Fairfax County police officers responded an intersection for the report of a crash. Police said three cars were involved.

Among those in the crash was a wedding officiant on his way to a wedding. Police said his car was not drivable and a kind officer took him to the event.

No one was injured in the crash and no festivities were missed.
